Richard Karl Bonham, age 65, of Osawatomie, Kansas, died October 4, 2010 at the Olathe
  
  Medical Center.
  
  Richard was born December 13, 1944 at Coffeyville, Kansas. He was the youngest and only son
  
  born to Kenneth Richard and Dorothy Elizabeth (Armstrong) Bonham. Richard graduated from
  
  Field Kinley High School in Coffeyville, Kansas with the Class of 1962. He graduated from
  
  Pittsburg State University in 1966 with two bachelor’s degrees, one in psychology and one in art
  
  education. He was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
  
  He served his country with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was honorably
  
  discharged in 1969.
  
  He began working for the Union Pacific Railroad in 1974. He was an engineer. He retired from
  
  the railroad in January of 2010 after 36 years of service.
  
  He was married to Carolyn Cook in June of 1969 at Coffeyville, Kansas. They became the
  
  parents of three daughters. Their marriage ended in divorce in 1983.
  
  He married Glora (Freeman) Fletcher on January 26, 1996 at the Old Stone Church in
  
  Osawatomie. They made their home in Osawatomie.
  
  He was a member of Masonic Osage Valley Lodge #24 AF & AM and also a lifetime member of
  
  the Elks, B.P.O.E. Lodge #921.
  
  He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Glora of the home; three
  
  daughters Erin Bonham of Dallas, Texas, Megan Bonham-Cunningham of Austin, Texas, and
  
  Sara Bonham of Austin, Texas; two sisters Kenny Kay Grundy of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Sharon
  
  Pratt of Independence, Kansas; two grandchildren Evan and Rhett Cunningham; other relatives
  
  and friends.
  
  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the Eddy-Birchard Funeral
  
  Home in Osawatomie with military honors. Visitation will follow the funeral service.
