Krissa Dawn Brim

Krissa Dawn Brim, age 35, of Osawatomie, Kansas, passed away at her home on Friday, June 26, 2026.

Krissa was born on January 3, 1991, in Kansas City, Kansas. She grew up in Osawatomie, where she attended school and graduated from Osawatomie High School with the Class of 2009.

Following high school, Krissa moved to Olathe, Kansas, where she worked as a manager for Wendy's. She was a hardworking and dedicated employee who took pride in her work.

Above all else, Krissa cherished her family and treasured every opportunity to spend time with them. She enjoyed fishing, loved doing crafts, and had a special love for animals. She found happiness in the simple moments shared with those she loved and in expressing her creativity through her craft projects.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Dakota Joe Thomas Brim; and her grandparents, Harold Castleberry, Esther Brim, Hazel Shafer, and Ethel Ennis.

Krissa is survived by her parents, Jimmy and Charlotte Van Loenen; her grandparents, Marvin Brim and Ruby Bussell; her siblings, Brandy Friend (Bill), Shelly Cruz, Caleb Drake, Donnie Van Loenen, and Gayle Van Loenen; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss her dearly.
