A Letter from Lauryn’s Point of View ❤️

December 9, 1997 – October 2nd, 2026 [Forever in Our Hearts]

I know your hearts are hurting, and I wish that I could give each of you one more hug, that we could have one more laugh, and just a little more time to be together.

I was born on “12/ 9/ 97 December 9”, in Olathe, Kansas. I was blessed with a family that loved me, a whole lot of friends who became family, and more kiddos to love than I could ever count.

To my mom and dad, Jenny and Brad Weaver, and my dad, Keith McReynolds—thank you for loving me and encouraging me to be truly, me. Thank you for taking care of me, being my biggest advocate, and seeing my abilities instead of my challenges. You have helped me live life to the fullest. I love you with all my heart.

To my siblings, Jordy (Cody) Goff, Taryn McReynolds, AJ Weaver, and Emma Weaver—you will always be a part of my heart. Thank you for all the dance parties, particularly Just Dance on the Xbox, the New Years toasts with sparkling grape juice, and putting up with “Ziggy” (AKA. Alexa) at full volume with the same songs on repeat.

To my nieces and nephews—Owen, Eleanor, Hunter, Eloise, Brody, and Cooper Goff—you were some of the greatest joys of my life. I hope you always know how incredibly loved you were by your Aunt Lauryn. I’ll keep Dolly company until you guys get here and then we can all sing together.

To my grandparents, Janice and Mike Frazee, Terry and Mike Weaver, and Debbie and Donnie McReynolds, thank you for every bit of love, acceptance, and support you have provided for me over the years. I always loved our Disney vacations, going to the farm, Sunday family lunches, and every bit of the holidays- especially the ones where “you would buy me gifts”. Being at family events with my Aunt Lori, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Amy & Uncle Ben, along with all my cousins and extended family was always a blast.

…Then there were my “Kids for Days.”

To Haley Shaver & Alyssa Madden, thank you for sharing your babies with me. Thank you for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to share my love and passion for children. I loved Rhea Rhea, Dawsyn, Rhett Rhett, and Boden so much! They brought so much happiness and self-worth into my life. Being part of their lives was a gift I always treasured.

To my best friends—Brian and Melissa Cooke and your family—I don’t even know how to put into words what you meant to me. Every gal should be lucky enough to have friends like you. Thank you for loving me, laughing with me, standing beside me, and making so many adventures possible for me. You weren’t just friends- You were family.

Some of my favorite things were to listen to “Ziggy” play music, dance, and send a massive amount of text messages. And yes, I probably “hearted” every single one of them. ❤️ Because that was my way of sharing my love with you.

I don’t want you to remember me only by the way this story ended. I want you to remember as much as I loved receiving gifts, through Midwest Transplant I was able to donate some of my organs as the greatest gift of all.

But when you do think of me, I hope that eventually, through the tears, you smile. Because like my favorite shirt said, “A Smile is the Prettiest Thing you can Wear.” Take care of my babies. Keep them laughing. Tell them about me. Let them know how much I loved them. And when you hear a song that reminds you of me, dance.

Love,

Lauryn
