Linda Jean Daniels “MeMa`”, age 72, of Osawatomie, Kansas, passed away Monday, August 31, 2026, at The University of Kansas Hospital in Olathe, Kansas.

Linda was born September 28, 1953, in Lebanon, Missouri, the daughter of Oral Ivan and Anna Imogene (Moore) Lindsay. She grew up in Kansas City, KS where she attended Washington High School.

On May 16, 1970, Linda and Donnie E. Daniels were united in marriage in Kansas City. They made their home in Kansas City, KS where they raised their three children, Jean Ann, Dewayne and Sam. Later moving to Osawatomie KS.

Linda was a wonderful cook and took great pride in preparing food for her family and friends. She was especially known for her homemade biscuits, coconut cream pie, peanut butter fudge and Mexican chili, among many other favorites. Her kitchen was often a place where family and friends gathered, and she was always happy to cook for those she loved. She also loved old country music.

Family was the most important thing to Linda. She and Donnie shared a close and loving family, and Linda cherished the time they spent together. One of her favorite things in life was playing with her great-grandchildren. She babysat for several family members, just to make sure the kids were taken care of.

Linda and Donnie were also known as “Mom and Dad” to many of their children’s friends throughout the years, welcoming them into their home and making them feel like part of the family.

Linda was known for her spunky and ornery personality. She had a way of bringing laughter and life to those around her, and she will be remembered for her big heart, her love of family, her wonderful cooking and the many lives she touched.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Larry Lindsay and Terry Lindsay; sisters-in-law, Marsha Lindsay and Donna Lindsay; brothers-in-law, Dennis Thomas and Robert Parker; her parents-in-law, Henry and Irene Daniels; brothers-in-law, Burlin Daniels, Dorlin Daniels and Warren Penegar; and sisters-in-law, Shirley Lasater, Bonnie Penegar and Charlotte Daniels.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Donnie Daniels, of the home; her children, Jean Ann Daniels of Osawatomie, Dewayne (Pam) Daniels of Osawatomie and Sam (Kim) Daniels of Louisburg; grandchildren, Tyler (Natalia) Daniels, Luke (Shelby) Daniels, Jacob Daniels, August Daniels (Stone Pitts), Brady Daniels and Ryan (Claire) Daniels; great-grandchildren, Jack, Karlie, Garett, Kynsley and Sawyer, with one more great-grandchild on the way.

She is also survived by her brothers, Jerry Lindsay, Oral (Carol) Lindsay and Gary Lindsay; sisters, Darlene Thomas, Anna (Leon) Burns, Kathy (Vic) Hentzen and Cindy (David) Bishop; brothers-in-law, Harlin Daniels and Paul Lasater. sister-in-law Patti Lindsay, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who were blessed to know Linda and considered her their mom.

Linda’s love, laughter, kindness and unwavering devotion to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life honoring Linda will be at a later date.
