Richard Lee Castor, age 65, of Osawatomie, Kansas, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025.
Richard was born May 20, 1960, the only son of Dallas Junior and Evelyn Dolores (Jeffries) Castor. He grew up in Missouri and attended Hillcrest High School in Springfield, graduating with the Class of 1978.
Following high school, Richard worked for Wintech and Schreibers in Monett, Missouri. In August 1990, he married Donna Dunn in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Together they had two daughters, Kendra and Kayla, and made their home in Monett before moving to Osawatomie in the early 1990s. The marriage later ended in divorce.
Richard went on to work as a truck driver for several companies over the years. In his free time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs. He loved playing poker and Yahtzee, but nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Beverly Howard and Lineta Castor.
Survivors include his daughters, Kendra Baez and Kayla (Jared) Sheridan, both of Monett, MO; grandchildren, Braiden Castor, Laci Sheridan, Bentley Castor, Bradlee Baez, Hunter Scroggs, Luka Sheridan, and Keenan Sheridan; sisters, Dalleta Dutra and Dolores Redifer; niece, Taylor (Robert) Brewer; and great-niece and nephew, Lettie and Baine.
Richard will be remembered for his love of family, his sense of humor, and the many miles he traveled both on the road and in life.
