Teresa Renee Waggoner

Teresa Renee Waggoner, affectionately known as Terry, passed away on June 16, 2024. In Barnhard, Missouri. Born in Kansas City on Christmas Eve 1949, Terry was a resident of both Kansas and Missouri throughout her life.

Terry was a friendly and caring person who could strike up a conversation with anyone. She always worked hard to make things special and fun, not just for herself but for everyone around here. She was dedicated to her family and made everyone feel cared for.

A graduate of Topeka High School, Terry’s educational background laid a strong foundation for her successful career and her personal pursuits. She was deeply ambitious in her career with the Missouri- Pacific and Union Pacific Railroads, where her commitment and hard work were well appreciated. She held several positions at these companies, including Manager of Purchasing and Operations for the St. Louis division of UP.

Terry was a family historian and memory-keeper. She enjoyed researching her family tree, a hobby that allowed her to connect with her roots and share stories with her loved ones. She also enjoyed traveling, decorating, reading, and spending time with her family making memories. She was a member of the 7 wonders, a group of supportive friends that became family. They lived by the motto “We may not have it all together, but together we have it all”. And she was so grateful for all their visits, treats, and decorations while she was in Hospice.

Terry is survived by her brothers, Kevin Waggoner (Roxanne) and Brian Waggoner (Darlene); nieve, Rachel Kulbiski (Neil); nephew, Michael Waggoner (Roya); and niece, Katrina Siegman (Mike). She also leaves behind her great-nieces and nephews, Noah, Eli, Jonah, Ava, Olivia, Drew, Ryan and Clayton who loved their “Aunt TT”. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patsha Waggoner, and niece, Michelle Waggoner. Her father, Bob Waggoner passed away not long after her.

A celebration of life will be held May 30, 2026 at 1 pm at Osawatomie Cemetery, Osawatomie, KS. Reception following immediately at the Paola Country Club in Paola, KS.
